    Our Construction Teams are responsible for the safe delivery of homes to our customers, with particular attention to Health, Safety & Environmental matters, Programme Attainment, Product Quality, Cost Management, Contractor and Supplier liaison and a strong customer focus.

    We work closely with our commercial, technical, sales and customer service colleagues to ensure a team approach. We are seeking a new team member who is confident with people and has the energy passion and ability to succeed at the highest level. Your key responsibilities will include:

    • Outlining programmes and build routes for new land opportunities
    • Producing Traffic Management Plans for site
    • Producing Construction Management Plans for local authorities
    • Producing logistics plans containing all pre-construction documents
    • Producing compound layouts for new developments
    • Producing presentations for site management meetings
    • Regularly updating current site programmes and reporting to the Construction Director

    The Graduate Development Programme 

    • A three-day formal induction
    • Classroom and virtual sessions covering key stages in the construction lifecycle, and key business skills such as commercial awareness and influencing
    • Interactive group projects working with a number of other graduates in disciplines across the business allowing you to build a strong network
    • Networking opportunities with senior managers and peers
    • One-to-one support from line managers, mentors, recent graduates, and industry professionals

    The start date for the Graduate Development Programme is Monday 4 th September 2023 however, we are open to candidates joining the team in advance of this date to get up to speed on your role!

    Our Graduate Programme salary starts from £26,000 per annum. Please note that this may vary depending on regional cost of living.

    About You

    You will have achieved a BSc (Hons) Construction and the Built Environment or a similar related subject. The role may involve driving on company business and applicants are therefore required to hold a full UK driving licence.

    To be an effective member of the team, you must enjoy and be capable of confidently dealing with a variety of people ranging from internal Cala departments, to on site contractors and potential customers. You will have excellent IT skills, be a natural problem solver and strong ability to manage your workload and time. Knowledge of Microsoft Excel would be advantageous.
