    Calderdale Council’s Homelessness Service strives to support people who face homelessness by providing advice, safe accommodation and support. We and our partners work with a wide range of individuals and families at a time when they need advice and guidance, and sometimes more intensive involvement in order to navigate support and services to build resilience, gain confidence and acquire the personal and social assets they need to meet their aspirations.

    About the role

    This is an exciting opportunity to gain experience and support the delivery of Calderdale’s homelessness services by assisting in designing and implementing strategies and provide support in delivering projects that will help to deliver homelessness services as well as preventing homelessness wherever possible.

    The ideal candidate will be someone who is looking to develop a career in the homelessness or housing sectors.

    We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expect all staff to share this commitment. Applicants to posts that are exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act will require a DBS from the Disclosure and Barring Service before the appointment is confirmed.
