As part of our mission to expand our world class team Cambridge Quantum Machine Learning (ML) team is searching for a Machine Learning Engineering Intern. This hire will support the development of new machine learning models for financial forecasting and the analysis of scientific research results.

The intern will be assisting the team of scientists in developing the core infrastructure to manage large datasets, training of deep learning models, automating evaluation pipelines and maintaining remote environments.

The successful candidate will join the London Victoria office and will be working in a highly dynamic, development-focused group, alongside software engineers and machine learning scientists with plenty of room for professional growth.

Responsibilities

  • Improving our deep learning training infrastructure
  • Maintenance of machines and environments
  • Automating training and evaluation pipelines
  • Implementing deep learning models
  • Processing and handling datasets

Key Requirements

  • A degree in Software Engineering/Computer Science
  • Good knowledge of linux operating systems, bash and basic sysadmin concepts
  • Proficient in Python
  • Experience with proper software development practices: OOP, version control, testing suites

Desirable

  • Familiarity with data science libraries like Pandas and scikit-learn
  • Familiarity with deep learning frameworks like tensorflow or pytorch
  • Experience with cloud computing or distributed systems
  • Experience with automation tools like docker and testing pipelines
