Key duties
- Providing support and assistance to Project Engineers, Project Leads and Managers to ensure that all allocated projects are set-up well, organised, run and supported properly so that they operate safely and effectively.
- Successfully participate in allocated projects by providing a cost effective, reliable, quality service to customers that satisfies their budget and workscope requirements in accordance with company systems, procedures and processes.
The Assistant Project Engineer position will be part of a busy project team within the wider Operations Department. The position will work closely with other project personnel, supporting a wide array of ongoing projects which will allow you to develop your skills and experience within the energy industry.
What you should bring
- Qualification in an Engineering Science discipline supported / or with suitable industry experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to demonstrate strong interfacing skills with various stakeholders
- Enthusiastic, proactive and highly self-motivated
- Flexible approach to working
- Ability to work under a degree of pressure
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn and operate bespoke databases (training will be provided)
- Ability to pass the mandatory medical and offshore survival training
- Willingness to travel to offshore and onshore sites if/when required
- Willingness and capability to build on existing skills and develop professionally
- Some previous experience of working in an offshore environment (desirable)
- Knowledge of inspection and NDT techniques and their application in industry (desirable)
