    Why we need you

    Cancer Research UK is the world’s largest charity dedicated to beating all types of cancer. We now have an opportunity for you to join us as a Corporate Partnerships intern.   

    The New Partnership team are responsible for acquiring high value partnerships that generate income and non-financial value for CRUK and benefits to the partner. 

    The team develop a pipeline of prospects that meet the needs of the organisation's priorities and/ or key sectors working creatively, with passion and commitment to create compelling pitches and partner packages, and to cultivate them to become committed CRUK partners. 

    What will I be doing?

    We are looking for an intern to focus on how we market ourselves to new corporate prospects, looking at the way we engage with potential partners. You would come up with recommended changes to our existing materials but also suggest and create new materials that we could use across all mediums; videos, posts, banners, impactful stats, case studies etc.  

    This is a great opportunity for an intern interested in marketing to gain valuable business to business marketing and research and strategy experience as well as exposure to business development.

    This role will involve:

    • Conducting an audit of our existing marketing materials, including our master template presentation deck  
    • Updating this deck, adding new materials and updating aging facts and stats 
    • Coming up with new case studies and charity partnership related statistics  
    • Suggesting and implementing new ways to engage with potential partners, through audio, email, presentations, videos, sizzles, socials, to find new and up to date ways to maximise our corporate approaches

    Application Process

    • Stage 1: Online application 

    Complete an online application form – you’ll be asked to answer a motivational competency question and upload your CV.

    • Stage 2: Assessment – Approximately w/c 27th June

    If your initial application is successful you will then be invited to complete our situational judgment test. The test poses real life scenarios that a CRUK intern might be met with in their day-to-day role and asks how you would tackle that scenario. This is un-timed and multiple choice. Please let us know if you think you might require adjustments for this assessment.

    • Stage 3: Audio Submission – Approximately w/c 4th July

    If you are successful in the previous stage, you will be asked to complete an audio submission, answering competency-based questions. The questions will be emailed to you and you will have a few days to submit a response via an audio recording (no video required). 

    • Stage 4: Interviews - Approximately 2nd-12th August

    If you are successful in the previous stage, you will then be invited to a face-to-face interview at our head office or online via Teams, with representatives from the team you are applying to.
