This is an entry level role and could suit an individual (new graduate or school leaver) looking for their first or second role in the world of Insurance. You will provide technical support to the Specie underwriting team, as directed by the Head of Specie.
Responsibilities
- Support Underwriters in submission administration.
- Undertake data entry and filing of documentation into all systems within allocated time frames.
- To be responsible for data verification, integrity and accuracy.
- Assist with the management of credit control and monitoring of aged debt per internal guidelines.
- Oversee Bordeaux management for risk and aggregations in liaison with exposure management, ensure deadlines are met.
- Produce ad-hoc reports, presentations and marketing literature.
- Undertake third party research as required.
- Attend meetings as required with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Produce weekly underwriting packs and minutes.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Accurate and numerate
- Computer skills – strong working knowledge of MS Office (Word / Excel / PowerPoint)
- Able to communicate effectively with others, both verbally and in writing
- Motivational skills, team worker as well as working on own initiative
- Ability to manage time, meet deadlines and prioritise
