We are seeking a graduate to join our busy Local Public Service Case Making Team, with a skill in data analysis.
You will be joining a young team of driven professionals who are working on some fascinating projects across the UK, delivering positive outcomes for clients that enable them to make informed decisions as to future investments.
What you’ll be doing
- Bidding for new work
- Compiling and manipulating data and assessing trends and predictions in relation to a variety of measures including economic and financial data
- Contributing to complex reports that make the case for change based on a meaningful insight regarding impacts
Work would include
- Carrying out study fieldwork including interviews (face-to-face and telephone), workshops and focus groups, and client consultations
- Research using a wide variety of official data sources and the internet
- Sourcing, organising, analysing and making a case using study data
- Undertaking financial analysis including cashflows
- Compiling reports for clients with clear recommendations based on evidence which allows them to make regeneration and investment decisions
- Preparing written proposals for work to clients
- Developing client relationships for future work
What we are looking for
You will have a degree in a related field i.e. economics, mathematics. You will be approachable and motivated, with the ability to work on your own initiative or as part of a team.
You will possess:
- Analytical skills, with the ability to draw conclusions from various data sources
- Good verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate in one-to-one situations, group sessions and in public arenas
- Excellent written skills including reports
- First class organisational skills including project and personal time management
- Excellent IT skills including the use of Word, Excel etc including graphs, charts, Smart Art and photos
- The following are desirable skills and qualities:
- An interest of the political, economic, and geographical makeup of the UK and its regions
- Having a full, clean driving licence
