Help strengthen our Team as our Junior Project Manager for a 6 month Fixed term contract. Hybrid role with Belfast office and working from home. Flexible how often a week in the office.
A great opportunity to join our team as our Junior IT Project Manager to support our Project Managers in the day-to-day management of our infrastructure project and in the reporting and governance required for the project.
What you'll be doing
- Supporting the Project Manager in the preparation of the following baseline management products: project brief, benefits management approach, PID, stage/exception plans and work packages.
- Producing accurate and timely reports and recording that are required for the project according to the reporting drum beat
- Tracking progress of the key products and milestones for the project including the resource forecast
- Supporting and managing the project controls, monitoring and reporting including advising the project manager of any deviations from the plan and complying with the change control approach
- Supporting and maintaining the project procedures such as risk management, issue management, change control and communication
- Work with the project team to deliver the project to time, quality and cost.
What we’re looking for
- Broadly skilled in information technology including application and infrastructure environments.
- Effective leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to command respect and to create a sense of community amongst the members of the project teams
- Knowledge of techniques for planning, monitoring and controlling programmes
- Understanding of the procurement process including negotiation with third parties
- Knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation procedures
- Sufficient seniority and credibility to advise project teams on their projects in relation to the programme
- Ability to find ways of solving or pre-empting problems
- Knowledge of programme and project management methods including MSP, PRINCE2 and Agile
- ITIL Service Management qualification is desirable
- Ideally have exposure to cloud technologies such as AWS and/or Azure
- Self-motivated individual with flexible approach to working.
