    Capita is looking for an Operations Support Consultant to work for our travel division, dealing with a variety of rail and hotel enquiries. This role would particularly suit an individual who has a strong background in customer service and administration, who would enjoy a role that is primarily focused on problem-solving for our customers.

    The role will be initially office based from Derby, however once competent in the role, there will be scope for hybrid working in the future.

    What will you deliver?

    Initially you will work on our Rail travel team, which includes travel administration, including refund queries, rail ticket printer queries and general day to day administration related to rail bookings.

    Once competent, you will be upskilled to include our Hotel administration which includes booking queries (both from suppliers and customers), resolving check-in issues, payment and refund queries, conformation resends, bookouts and overseas international bookings.

    You will mainly be dealing with cases where a specific issues has arisen from a rail or hotel booking, so this role requires an individual who really enjoys problem solving and helping others.

    What are we looking for?

    • Previous demonstrable customer service experience, ideally in an office-based role but we would consider individuals from a retail (or similar) background.
    • Keen to learn and progress skills and experience, as plenty of training will be provided.
    • A pro-active and can-do approach to work, able to think quickly to come up with solution to customers’ issues, and push yourself to achieve positive outcomes.
    • Able to work effectively as part of a larger team.
    • A positive mindset.
