Are you curious about politics and how decisions are made in Carmarthenshire? Our Democratic Services team supports local government and ensures that everyone can participate in these important processes.

This 3-month paid internship is a fantastic chance to learn about local government, understand how democracy works, and build skills working within the public sector. This placement offers you the opportunity to use your Welsh language skills daily in a professional environment.

What matters to you

  • Willing to learn – you are eager to learn more about democracy and the public sector and how it works.
  • Welsh Language – able to use your Welsh language daily by engaging with your team and other members of the service
  • Experience – you are keen to meet and network with professionals in the field.
  • Organised – your organised and able to manage different tasks.

What we can offer you

Welsh language

Level 4 - You will need to be able to communicate effectively in Welsh. Reasonable support can be provided on appointment to reach this level
