From day one you will engage in challenging work, solving real-world customer engineering and business problems through collaboration with our global team. You will be assigned a home department which acts as a touch point throughout the scheme. Your two-year Graduate Development Programme will be tailored to ensure you gain a broad understanding of your chosen field and build the foundations of a successful career. You will get the support, guidance and training you need to be successful at Caterpillar. You will also have opportunity to gain experience working with our global Caterpillar customers.
You will have the opportunity to work with other facilities across our global organisation and you will be directly involved, and at the heart of our business, participating on strategic projects.
Job duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to
- Design of large power generation installations
- Design of cooling, acoustic, ventilation, heat recovery, fuel and emissions aftertreatment systems for large diesel and gas engines
- Simulation – acoustics, fluid dynamics and structural analysis
- Validation testing, development and analysis of first of kind designs
- Specification, sourcing and procurement of sub-systems and components

- Applicants will be on target to achieve a minimum of 2:2 honours degree level in a relevant discipline.
- Applicants must be studying a degree in one of the following disciplines: Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering or Aeronautical Engineering. Other STEM disciplines may be considered.
