As Large Power Systems Division (LPSD) Perkins, we design, develop and manufacture the 4000 Series and 5000 Series diesel and gas engines. These world class products are used to support customers in critical, continuous and standby power generation applications. You will be working as part of a global engineering team supporting the creation of sustainable solutions that deliver high performance and reliable power around the globe.

The role

During this 36-month training programme, you will be given the opportunity to experience different aspects of Engineering Change Management and Engineering Technical Services, designed to provide you with an excellent foundation in the function. From day one you will be embedded in the global Product Engineering team, liaising with cross functional team members and business functions. You will be encouraged to work and collaborate with people in different Caterpillar facilities worldwide to learn best practices and support process improvement.

We hold a Meet and Greet day for all new UK Graduate students to provide you with an opportunity to meet fellow new starters across the UK before you start your placement.

After the scheme

Upon successful completion of the rotational programme, you will be promoted into a Product Change Control Engineer with aspects of the role including but not limited to:

  • Global Engineering Change Management support
  • Development and maintenance of Global Engineering Change governance and metrics
  • Global design control change impact support
  • Engineering process development and implementation
  • Engineering technical services support and planning

About you

It is essential that applicants should have achieved or be on track to achieve a minimum of a 2:2 in one of the following disciplines:
