Caterpillar is the world’s leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, diesel and natural gas engines, industrial gas turbines and diesel-electric locomotives. Operating from 50 countries around the globe, the Caterpillar brand has developed into a symbol of strength, respect, and integrity. The organisation has a clear vision to be the global leader in providing customer value in the markets in which it operates. Our core values (Integrity, Excellence, Teamwork, Commitment and Sustainability) are key to our success.
What Do We Do
Caterpillar Leicester is part of the Building Construction Products (BCP) division, manufacturing a range of world class Backhoe Loaders and Compact Wheel Loaders, as part of the wider BCP range. Products that are reliable, cost effective, versatile, and adaptable. Leicester is more than just a production facility - it is a full product development centre with global responsibility for its products. Our Stockton facility manufactures the core fabrications which are supplied directly to the production lines at Leicester.
Supply Chain is at the heart of every business, and here is no exception. Think about the daily sourcing of materials from across the world, then think about how these parts are transported into a company, manufactured, and shipped out to customers within demanding lead-times. This is only a highlight of what it means to work in Supply Chain.
Working within our Supply Chain function means delivering a quality product to a satisfied customer - on time, over and over again. The department is therefore a highly important link between our teams involved in product development, production, and most importantly our customers.
