    An exciting opportunity has arisen within the International Portfolio Team at CBRE Investment Management who look after institutional overseas investors.

    You will gain an unparalleled insight into real estate as the Portfolio Team helps international clients invest their equity into both direct and indirect real estate, across US, EMEA and Asia, and into multiple sectors. You will be working alongside our Legal, Treasury and Tax teams, to provide financing and structuring advice to clients.

    • Existing assets are high profile including Battersea Power Station mixed-use development anchored by Apple’s 500,000 sq ft HQ and a City office about to undergo a £40m refurbishment project. 

    This dynamic team is looking for an ambitious, driven and numerate individual to support the Portfolio Manager on activities including introduction of new opportunities, presenting to clients, reporting and ensuring asset business plans are achieved through oversight of asset managers

    Key responsibilities

    Working principally on International Separate Account mandates.

    The individual will support in acquisitions, disposals, asset management, financing, tax and reporting. Key responsibilities will include:

    • Monitoring existing investments to ensure Asset Manager adherence to business plans, identifying value enhancement initiatives, producing sale recommendations and updating asset financial models. Liaise with Legal, Treasury, Tax and Structuring teams where required. 
    • Help source and introduce new opportunities to clients. This would involve building your network of investment agents, appraising opportunities, financial underwriting, preparation of Investment Committee documentation and assisting in due diligence and execution. 
    • Assist in the timely production of all aspects of reporting and presentations – Client, Investment Committee, Portfolio Oversight and MSCI. 

    What do you have to offer us?

    • Preferably from an economics/finance/investment/real estate background
    • Minimum of one year's post qualification experience, or equivalent
    • Strong academic background with good attention to detail
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing. Fluency in English is required for this position.
    • Good understanding of financial modelling and valuation methodology (advanced excel skills required)
    • Asset management, investment sourcing and transactional experience is preferable
