We are currently looking for a Junior Digital Designer to join our exciting and fast-moving agency who are based in Hitchin, Hertfordshire, but will allow you to work remotely from anywhere.

Working within the design team, this role will be responsible for getting stuck into a variety of digital projects. A large volume of which includes website/app creation, social media graphics/videos and branding projects.

You will also work closely with the account team to fully understand the requirements of each project, to help you create and deliver the project to the highest possible standard. This role will give the successful applicant the chance to develop their skills and to progress as the design team continues to expand.

Our dream candidate

  • A good understanding of Adobe Creative Suite. Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop. Knowledge in XD or Figma is a strong bonus, but is not a necessity
  • Strong portfolio of work over a wide range of creative projects
  • A creative mind that’s always coming up with fresh, new, and innovative ideas
  • A collaborative problem solver with great attention to detail
  • Great time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Hungry to develop yourself as a creative with an openness to listen to feedback
  • Familiarity with UI/UX design
  • A good understanding of brand consistency across all platforms
  • Any further training in UX/UI Design is welcomed but not essential

Main responsibilities

  • Use Adobe Creative Cloud to create predominately websites/apps, social media graphics/videos, website content creation and branding projects
  • Capable of creating work for websites; mobile web/app; email; social media
  • Assist other members of the design team and other departments where possible
  • Usability and accessibility. Produce output that is easy and intuitive for all customers to use, demonstrating a strong understanding of current web standards
  • Able to concept and present ideas effectively, including wireframing
  • Ensure that all work adheres to brand guidelines
  • Collaborating with developers to ensure that designs are implemented to a high standard
  • Participate in client meetings (Led by the Design Manager or Account Manager)
  • Adapt to changing priorities and meet your deadlines

Qualifications

  • Degree in Design, UX, visual communications or similar field (or appropriate equivalent)
  • GCSE’s minimum grade C4, including English & Maths.
