Role overview

We are looking for Entry Level Forensic Reporting Scientist(s) (Toxicology) to join our expanding Forensic Operations department training to report Toxicology cases including Road Traffic Act and casework toxicology, with the expectation of attending court as an expert witness alongside developing an understanding of the supporting scientific processes. These include sample examination, preparation and extraction, analysis by GCQQQ, LCQQQ and GC-HS-FID and the processing and checking of analytical data.

A higher/further qualification in a scientific subject is preferred, preferably Chemistry, Toxicology or Pharmacology based. This is an entry level reporting role and full training will be provided to enable you to gain the necessary technical skills required for the role.

You will be able to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, flexible and have great attention to detail and accurate record keeping. You will also have excellent communication and presentation skills and be able to present technical data clearly and concisely in both written and verbal forms.
