Cellomatics Biosciences Ltd. is a rapidly growing specialised Contract Research Organisation (CRO) providing pre-clinical laboratory services to support the drug development programmes of Biotech and Pharmaceutical companies.

    We have an exciting opportunity for an organised individual to join our company. The successful candidate will support the scientific team by performing a range of laboratory and office activities. The laboratory work will be diverse and will include simple tasks within a biology laboratory. While some practical laboratory experience is desirable, training will be provided in areas where the candidate does not have prior experience. It is important that the individual is happy to carry out both laboratory and administrative tasks, and the balance between these two will vary through the year.

    This individual will report to the Procurement Manager and play an integral part in the successful day to day running of our laboratory. This role will be available from 1st August 2025.

    Job responsibilities

    Laboratory

    • Responsible for day-to-day laboratory maintenance and relevant housekeeping duties
    • Maintain the stock inventory of general laboratory reagents and consumables.
    • Maintenance of equipment and servicing records
    • Undertake laboratory work as required and be responsible for drafting SOPs, COSHH as relevant.
    • Receiving of goods and recording
    • Various other technical administration tasks.

    Office administration

    • Electronic filing of documents
    • Key contact within office for Company facilities and wider site issues affecting the company
    • Make arrangements for visitors coming onto site, including visitor passes, meeting rooms, catering
    • Maintain adequate stock of office supplies
    • General administrative tasks as required

    Qualifications and essential skills

    • Proven experience working in a diverse and highly matrixed, fast-paced collaborative team environment.
    • Previous laboratory experience would be advantageous but is not essential as full training will be provided.
    • Previous experience of handling chemicals, with associated health and safety controls
    • Ability to work to strict deadlines and multi-tasking in a safe and efficient manner.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Competence in use of Microsoft programmes including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
    • The ability to prioritise tasks.
    • High level of interpersonal, and analytical skills
