Our engineering programme is accredited by the Institution of Engineering & Technology (IET), so you know you’ll be on the right track to become registered as a Chartered Engineer should you choose to; this typically takes 4-5 years, and we will help you all the way.
Who we're looking for
Engineering graduates who have a strong interest in Controls and Instrumentation Engineering.
You’ll also need:
- 1st or 2:1 Master’s degree in a suitable electronics/control and instrumentation (or closely related) engineering discipline, accredited by the relevant engineering institution
- Right to work in the UK
- Willingness to relocate multiple times and try new things
- To be a passionate and creative Engineer who can deliver solutions within tight timeframes and implement them safely and successfully
- In possession of a full UK driving licence, as you may be required to travel to remote locations
What you'll be doing
Graduates will be involved in the design, operation, monitoring and optimising performance on our assets. You will get first-hand experience in technical engineering, projects, and operations, developing technologies, testing units, improving current products, or designing control systems across a variety of energy technologies.
Our solutions are highly integrated so you will need to be familiar with digital systems. You will be working from day one as part of a team and we have high expectations of our Graduates. So, there will be plenty to get your teeth into and it will take a lot of hard work and initiative on your part. In return you’ll get to develop career-boosting skills and establish your engineering career within Centrica.
