    CFC Response is the cybersecurity arm of CFC, and we are a unique collaborative team of incident responders, business resumption engineers, and cybersecurity specialists whose sole responsibility it is to protect, recover, and mature the more than 80,000 CFC insurance policyholders.

    With cyber policyholders in over 65 countries around the world, we have the largest specialist team of cyber underwriters in the London market. In order to remain at the front of this exciting market it is critical that we continue to innovate with our products and service offerings.

    As a result, we are looking to recruit a Associate to join our Cyber Incident Management team, working with the incident response and cyber claims teams. The role will support the team in their day-to-day duties to deliver a market leading cyber incident response service.

    Key responsibilities

    You will learn to provide urgent support to insured with cyber incidents, advising on the best course of action and performing some initial analysis where appropriate. You will also build positive working relationships with our network of incident response, forensic, legal and PR vendors to provide insureds’ with a high quality and cost effective service. In addition to this ‘front line’ support; you will work with the incident response, claims, products and underwriting teams to support improvements to the service and products CFC offer.

    • Provide high quality and efficient support and advice to insured with cyber incidents.
    • Perform preliminary analysis and triage for incidents and help to develop CFCs technical in-house capabilities.
    • Work collaboratively across the Cyber Security function to support forensic investigations by producing threat intelligence such as threat assessments, vulnerability scanning, and open-source interrogation as required.
    • Foster good relationships with policyholders, brokers, underwriters and capacity providers, and drive excellent customer service.
    • Support the cyber incident response and cyber claims function with ad-hoc and administrative tasks as required.
    • Work with the cyber claims adjusters to efficiently and fairly review incident claims and coverage.

    Skills, knowledge and expertise

    This role is ideal for someone with a passion for cyber, looking for an entry level role where they can learn and develop their skillset to become a specialist within the cyber incident response field. We are ideally looking for someone that has completed a degree or certifications with a focus on a technical area (e.g. Computer Science, Information Security, Cyber Security etc.) and is keen to kick start their career with a growing company.

    You'll be be joining a group of technical experts who tackle cyber threats day-in-day-out and have a focus on product excellence. Customer service and stakeholder management skills are key, as you will be learning to credibly speak to clients and partners regarding cyber incidents, and the value CFC’s products and services provide for them.

    You will have a good understanding of the cyber threat landscape both in the UK and Internationally, reviewing intelligence sources and how it applies to support incident response. You will be managing a variety of stakeholders and be able to competently present complex technical information to both technical and non-technical entities.
