    We are offering an exciting opportunity for a new starter to join our team, as soon as possible, as an Intern in the Global Corporate Sustainability Performance team supporting them on day-to-day matters and as well as projects and initiatives.

    Sustainability Performance at CHANEL

    The Global Corporate Sustainability Performance team leads CHANEL’s reporting on Climate and Nature. They are responsible for managing the data collection, aggregation and reporting of CHANEL’s carbon footprint each year. They analyse and prepare the aggregated performance data for use by senior management, as well as other external communications such as CHANEL's Sustainability Performance extract, SECR disclosure, RE100 reporting, and the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP).

    The team works in partnership with the Sustainability and Finance community from across CHANEL’s divisions and regions. It chairs a monthly Global Taskforce with representatives from the community, in which updates on improvements made by the Corporate Sustainability team are shared, alongside other relevant topics relating to the delivery of CHANEL’s Net Zero strategy and other climate goals.

    You will be responsible for

    • Supporting the Performance team with the reporting and validation of CHANEL’s carbon footprint.
    • Helping to identify and analyse key trends from the aggregated performance data, compiling this into communication tools and disseminating to the Sustainability and Finance community and senior management.
    • Coordinating the monthly Taskforce meeting, summarising discussions and action items for distribution to the community.
    • Organising and maintaining reporting assets, training tools and methodology.
    • Assisting the team with the external climate assurance process and helping to adopt and implement best practice in this area.
    • Engaging with the Sustainability and Finance community by drafting regular updates and communications

    What you will bring

    • A graduate or postgraduate degree in an environmental science/sustainability-related subject
    • Good understanding of the GHG Protocol and the business activities driving emissions
    • Strong team player with an intellectual curiosity and self-motivated personality
    • Fluency in English
    • Strong writing and communication skills, with attention to detail
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
