    At our world class facility in Elphinstone, Tranent, our Toxicology Sciences Department currently has exciting career opportunities for Safety Pharmacology Technician.

    Department information

    The Toxicology Sciences Department within Charles River is engaged in regulatory toxicology, encompassing: general, inhalation, reproductive toxicology, and safety pharmacology. The Assistant Technician role sits within our safety pharmacology team which is made up of technicians and study directors working together to deliver world class data and report quality to our Sponsors. There is a formal progression scheme for the role and excellent training and mentoring is provided to support the growth and development of staff.

    Key responsibilities

    You will assist in the conduct of experiments that investigate cardiovascular (heart waveform and blood pressure) and respiratory (breathing rate and volume) parameters, using a variety of specialist hardware and software, in support of safety pharmacology and toxicology studies.

    The role involves computerized system set up, calibration, acquisition and data analysis. You will also be Involved in quality control checking and equipment maintenance.

    All training for the role will be provided.

    Applicants should have
