    This role is part of the Management Accounts team of the Reporting and Analysis team within Finance. The primary purpose of the role is to support the monthly management accounts process for both UK and overseas. The role has several key tasks and responsibilities as set out below.

    Role and Responsibilities

    • Supporting the UK and overseas monthly management accounts preparation process and variance reports
    • Assisting with the annual budgeting process
    • Preparation of National Statistics Surveys
    • Reviewing expense nominal ledger codes and reanalysing costs as appropriate
    • Preparing monthly spend vs budget variance reports such including BD expenditure
    • Assisting with the management accounts process including tasks such as:
    • Assisting with overseas payroll journals
    • Calculating minority interest
    • Assisting with overseas cashflow reporting
    • Assisting with overseas balance sheets
    • Assisting with monthly recurring journals
    • Maintenance of the fixed asset register
    • Maintenance of PII provision schedule
    • Submitting overseas payroll tax invoices and maintaining balance sheet reconciliations in relation to payroll taxes
    • Assistance with reconciliation of balance sheets including intercompany reconciliations
    • Maintenance of authority levels document, Reed & Mackay travel codes and Rendezvous codes
    • Supporting the rest of the Reporting & Analysis team, including the Group Financial Controller, on ad-hoc tasks as and when required

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree
    • Strong excel skills
    • Knowledge or willingness to learn to use new tools
    • Knowledge of legal services desirable but not essential
    • Experience of working within a Finance department is essential
