    The role

    Reporting to the Global Liability Director, this is an opportunity for you to develop your Liability claims expertise, through undertaking a trainee position and becoming involved in handling a broad portfolio of Aviation liability claims while working alongside our highly qualified and experienced Liability Adjusters from investigation to settlement.

    Key responsibilities

    For both new claims and those already being handled in the office, assist with:

    • Preparing case management plans and liaising with key stakeholders including insured, insurers/brokers and reinsurers to ensure the professional and timely conclusion of claims.
    • Involvement in complex discussions relating to cause of loss and relaying that information to Insurers in a clear and concise manner.
    • Preparing reports and presentations to provide details on all aspects of the claim from instruction to settlement.
    • Collation and analysis of Management Information for internal and external distribution.
    • Producing reports in compliance with professional standards, internal guidelines and in accordance with SLA’s.
    • Marketing and business development activities to support the region and future actions.
    • As the level of experience improves, instructing and guiding surveyors, lawyers, forensic scientists, forensic accountants and other experts as necessary.
    • Communicating regularly with all interested parties, calculating and approving interim payments, preparing interim reports and other communications.
    • Calculating and recommending settlement of claims and preparing final reports.
    • Review of timesheets against budgets.

    Required skills

    • Degree in Law/business or equivalent.
    • Strong organisational skills with the ability to self-manage your workload, manage multiple priorities and conflicting demands.
    • A methodical, accurate and analytical approach to work.
    • Inquisitive individual who is keen to continuously develop and grow.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; clear, concise, and structured.
    • Strong relationship/stakeholder management skills with the ability to establish effective working relationships with your team, colleagues and third parties.
    • Thrive in a high-pressured working environment with the drive to meet and exceed targets.
    • Excellent verbal and written skills.
    • Confident with the Microsoft Suite including Word and Excel.
