About the role
As a Staff Product Analyst, you'll work as part of a cross-functional team alongside product managers, designers, software and analytics engineers, using data and your expertise to influence and drive the strategy of our products. You'll help define how we measure success of a specific product or set of products, collaborate with engineers on how we collect data, design and help build reports/dashboards and run analyses with the intent of finding opportunities for those products. You'll be a co-owner of a domain, driving it to success through partnership with other cross-functional team members.
You'll also be part of the wider data group, a team of Data Engineers, Analytics Engineers, Data Analysts, Data Product Managers and Data Scientists. They're at the core of our data community, ensuring you're part of knowledge sharing sessions and will play a pivotal role in how we build and scale our data platforms.
Being one of the first roles in the Product Analytics area, this is an exciting opportunity to craft how the function will operate and establish ways of working between data analysts, product and engineering team members.
What youll be doing
- Responsible for enabling the rapid growth of our products, in collaboration with cross-functional teams across a product or domain of products
- Influencing product roadmaps through the presentation of data-based recommendations
- Supporting product discovery, research, and experimentation
- Working closely with Data Analytics Engineers and Data Engineers to make sure we collect and model the right data to produce relevant business insights
- Understanding how our Products work and identify the highest impact areas for growth of the product
- Build and iterate on experiments to understand users and drive our product metrics, enabling us to take quick action
- Identifying new data sources or proposing new ways to generate insights using existing data sources
- Supporting your colleagues through technical coaching & sharing approaches.
Your experience
- Strong communicator, with the ability to concisely communicate to non-technical team members
- Excellent data interrogation and modelling skills, with a proven understanding of SQL
- Extensive experience with data visualisation tools such as Looker, Tableau, or PowerBI
- Knowledge of statistics (e.g hypothesis testing, regressions)
- Worked in a cross functional product team
- Experience with tracking platforms such as Heap, Snowplow, Google Analytics, etc
- Experience conducting experiments, funnel analysis and defining key success metrics
