What does the Localisation team do at Busuu?
We localise all of Busuu’s content, from our language courses and UI copy, to marketing and B2B materials. It is our responsibility to make sure all content is compelling, consistent, respectful and tailored to markets and cultures around the world.
We manage a team of over 50 translation experts who translate, transcreate, localise and test our content in 16 languages.
What will a Junior Localisation Manager do at Busuu?
- Support the Lead Localisation Manager in the localisation of course content
- Learn our processes and support engaging our freelance team
- Help maintain language style guides and terminology documents
- Help maintain the translation memory
- Prepare requests to QA check localised content
What we’re looking for in a Junior Localisation Manager:
- Experience in translation, language teaching or at a language learning/EdTech product, OR a degree in a relevant field (e.g. translation, foreign language, linguistics etc.)
- Interest in language learning
- Interest in quality management
- Attention to detail
- Keen interest in learning and experimenting with improving processes
