We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Accounts Coordinator to join us in our Finance team.
The Role
As an Assistant Accounts Coordinator you will:
- Process purchase invoices - receive, check and process all supplier invoices and record details accurately in the purchase ledger.
- Set up suppliers - process new supplier forms in line with policies ensuring all information is captured and vendor cards are up to date.
- Complete monthly supplier reconciliations to keep ledgers up to date.
- Produce sales ledger invoices after checking the information provided by the requester.
- Answer queries in person, by email and on the telephone from suppliers and customers and staff from other departments to provide an effective and efficient service.
- Using the Navision/ Business Central and Excel in an efficient way to post, reconcile and assist with the activities of the Accounts department including administration.
- Contribute towards any system development and process changes relevant to the role.
- Conduct relevant administrative tasks such as scanning, filing and email inbox management.
The Package
- 40 hours per week, worked Monday-Friday, 8.30am-5pm
- Salary of £23,529.34 per annum (increasing to £24,860.54 per annum from 01/04/2024 in line with our April 2024 pay award).

About you
- Have previous administration experience.
- Have good organisational skills and a flexible approach.
- Be computer literate & competent in the use of Microsoft Office.
- Have an eye for detail to accurately record and input data.
- Ability to communicate well on the telephone.
- Have a good standard of education, including Maths and English.
- Keen to learn and develop new skills, ideally in the accounting/finance profession.
- Previous experience of Microsoft Dynamics Nav accounting/ Business Central and/or other accounting software would be advantageous but is not essential.
This role is subject to an Experian background check, which will include a basic DBS check, adverse financial check and identification check.
