Junior Business Analyst London 2023

This role will be to work as part of the Global Analytics group and join our fast-paced, high-energy team responsible for transforming the way Chubb operates globally and deliver meaningful business impact across the value chain.

The role

This position offers the opportunity to leverage the entire spectrum of digital capabilities towards solving a wide variety of business problems as well as unique challenges in problem-solving. The focus is on applying a combination of industry-standard practices and innovative ideas to transform the way Chubb operates fundamentally.

Responsibilities

• Elicit and define requirements for the project, taking into consideration the problem statement, current state, and target state of the business process.
• Create presentations, research reports to highlight the key insights to be presented to the stakeholders, allowing them to make informed key decisions.
• Document the insights and project requirements in a clear and comprehensive manner.
• Ensure that the requirements are confirmed and understood and that they can translate into improved, strategic, tactical, or operational outcomes for the business.
• Create and review test cases, and coordinate with business stakeholders, end users for user acceptance.
• Organizing large sets of data into relevant categories to facilitate more efficient data analysis to facilitate data labelling and classification.
• Ability to draw key insights from data sets. Note: data is not limited to numerical data, and data sets may come in the form of large numbers of unstructured reports with text, table and picture formats.

Skills Required

• Master’s/Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or related discipline.
• Instead of a degree, a minimum of two years analytical/Underwriting/Claims/Operations related work experience in the insurance industry
• Problem-Solving – Takes an organized and logical approach to thinking through problems and complex issues, breaking down issues into manageable parts and looking beyond the obvious to get at root causes
• Solution Development – Understands business problems and requirements and develops practical, cost-effective solutions and recommendations
• Continuous Learning / Improvement – Demonstrates a desire and capacity to expand expertise, develop new skills and grow professionally as well as think of better ways to do things

Qualifications
