    Citizens Advice Leeds is working for a fairer society where people are free from the effects of poverty and injustice. We are a local charity helping over 30,000 people a year to resolve financial, housing, employment and other legal issues. If you’d like to join our team helping service users find solutions to their problems, we have a number of opportunities open to qualified and trainee candidates.

    The role

    As an Energy Project Advice Worker you will join our Energy Team and play a key role in ensuring our clients receive good quality generalist advice with a focus on alleviating fuel poverty, working across telephone and digital channels.

    Some of the key attributes needed for this role

    • You should be well organised with the ability to work independently.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential
    • The ability to listen, engage and empathise with potentially vulnerable clients.
    • Strong communication and IT skills
    • The ability to quickly navigate information systems and a focus on delivering team targets

    Applications are invited both from qualified/experienced advisers, and from motivated candidates looking for a career development opportunity in the advice sector. As a trainee you will develop the skills to deliver advice over the phone and online, covering a range of subjects including energy, welfare rights. We’re offering training and support to enable you to achieve full competence in 6-8 months.
