Citizens Advice Croydon and Citizens Advice Wandsworth are working together to deliver a money and debt advice service funded by the Money Advice and Pension Service (MaPS).
The role
Provide tailored advocacy, advice and support to individuals and families struggling with debts, and provide them with help to overcome and prevent them from falling into similar situations again.
We are looking to appoint two FTE qualified or trainee debt advisers as follows:
- Number of Posts: 2 FTE
- Salary Range: £27,269 - £33,366 FTE salary depending on experience (Lower rate for trainee, higher rate for fully qualified and MaPS experienced debt advisers).
- Contract status: Fixed term until 31st March 2026 with likely extension
- Generous Holiday entitlement and Employer’s Contributions to Pensions
- Funded by The Money and Pension Service (MaPS)
Qualifications
The successful candidates will ideally have the required specialist debt advice accreditation and have completed training to caseworker level. For trainees, full training would be provided for the right candidate, although some experience of advice giving or knowledge of financial services would be beneficial. We would expect trainees to be actively advising and assisting clients and managing a caseload of debt clients within one month.
Interviews will take place on 5 June 2025.
