The role

The RD&D Technical Programme Officer will be required to act as and retain competence as a Technical Programme Officer providing Product Lifecycle administration.

The responsibilities of the role include (but are not limited to):

  • New Product Programme Administration
  • Manage and Coordinate engineering changes to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and effective communication across all departments, including liaison with Production Engineering and Planning
  • Manage progress of all RD&D Manufacturing Support Requests (MSRs) against the defined lead times
  • Administer RD&D project purchases on the D365 BC system.
  • Participate in the improvement and maintenance of safe working practices, within RD&D
  • To support audits by the UK MoD
  • To travel as required attending external tests and trials, meetings and seminars
  • To liaise with other company departments around the site to ensure the effective transition of development items into volume manufacturing
  • To maintain a log of activity

About you

  • Right to live and work in the UK, with ability to obtain SC level clearance
  • Must have continually resided in the UK for a minimum of 5 years
  • Degree, HND or commensurate knowledge and experience in STEM/Programme Officer/ Project Management
  • Experience of working as a Programme Officer
  • Previously worked within multi-functional teams

This role will be worked over a 4.5 day week; Monday to Thursday 08:00 – 16:45 and Friday 08:00 – 12:30. Flexibility in this role is critical to the success of supporting the team.
