    Duration: 4 years 

    Starting salary:  £28,840 (£45k to £55k after successful completion of the scheme and promotion)

    What could I be involved in as a Finance Fast Streamer?  

    On this scheme, you can make your mark on some of the most important economic and financial issues facing the country.  

    As part of the Civil Service Finance community, you’ll work in some of the most fascinating, high-profile environments in government.  

    Engaging with senior stakeholders from day one you’ll build relationships both inside and outside of government, ensuring that finance is at the heart of their decision-making. You’ll be involved in shaping the government's financial policy, helping to deliver effective value-for-money public services for people across the UK.  

    Growing your knowledge, skills and experience 

    With placements in different departments, you’ll gain practical experience of numerous areas of the Finance function and work on cross-government projects to help build a broad range of technical skills. As well as support from a qualified mentor, you’ll have opportunities to network with and learn from members of professional bodies.  

    After successfully completing the scheme, you’ll be a fully qualified accountant. To help you achieve this you’ll benefit from paid-for learning materials, tuition, exams and any exemption fees, as well as study leave. You’ll also have free registration and annual membership with the professional body.   

    To apply, you’ll need

    • Eligibility to work in the UK. 
    • A 2:1 or higher (or be expecting to achieve this) in any degree subject, including degree apprenticeships
