    Claire's are looking to appoint 2 Buying Assistants to join our European Concessions Buying team.

    The purpose of the role is to support the buying team in delivering relevant assortments to excite the Claire’s & external consumers across our European Retail Partners.

    We can offer this role on a hybrid basis working 2 days a week from our European Head office in Birmingham. This is a perfect opportunity for a recent graduate with a Fashion-related degree to kick-start their career in Buying.

    Objectives of the role

    • Support in ensuring commercially sound buy investments to drive strong comp & new store growth, through data analytics & tool & system management
    • Comprehensively understand the relevant business sector to formulate winning strategies (pricing, product, competition etc.)
    • Support in trading the business on a weekly & monthly basis - reporting on sku & partner performance in season, suggesting decisions to maximise trade & assess the competition to make informed new product suggestions

    What you'll do 

    • Own PO raising and buy finalisation process. Communicating status effectively to the team and flagging risk.

    • Reporting on delivery flow and communicating risk to launch cadence.
    • Comprehensively report on competition positioning across multiple areas – pricing/product/events etc.
    • Own a department.
    • Utilise, own & develop relevant buying tools to support effective ways of working
    • Make comprehensive suggestions & actions to drive business based the understanding of data analytics
    • Navigate system complexities to ensure timely order placement, delivery tracking, critical path management

    What are we looking for?

    To be considered for this role we are keen to speak to candidates with the following skills and experience:

    • Strong Microsoft office skills including Excel
    • Previous administration experience and strong attention to detail
    • Good communication skills and the ability to work with various internal and external stakeholders
    • A Fashion or retail- related degree (desirable)
