About the role
The Junior Digital Designer will support the Senior Digital Designer on the creation and delivery of digital projects across platforms. You will ensure brand consistency and guidelines are maintained throughout the design process. The day to day to duties will include the creation and artworking of emails, website assets, display and social media banners, and external business digital graphics. This role is also responsible for team housekeeping (i.e. keeping the servers up to date and tidy) and conducting regular market research on key competitors, trends, best practices to help improve approach to digital design.
What you'll do
Main Mission 1
Artworking of newsletters for our online and offline customers.
- Create emails using existing templates in which convey exciting and expressive content
- Adapt global creative for local purposes
- Demonstrate a good understanding of CRM to inform design decisions
Main Mission 2
Create assets for our online platforms
- Design engaging assets to support commercial offers, including content slots
- Ad-hoc image resizing and creation of website pack shots
- Ensure that the look and feel of the website is maintained throughout all communication
- Where applicable, respect grid structures for responsive design
Main Mission 3
Create assets for our local media campaigns
- Design bespoke display banners
- Create impactful social media stories
- Interpreting global creative and adapting for local purposes
What you'll need
You have
- You will either have some relevant industry experience in a similar role or a recent graduate. Designing for multiple brands such as cosmetics or luxury brands would be a distinct advantage.
Technical experience required
- Good knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop essential
- Excellent artworking skills
- An understanding of web and digital
- Proven foundation in core design principles, typography, layout and composition skills
- Experience with GIF animation
- Understanding of HTML / CSS
Skills and behaviour required
- Show excellent organisational skills and flexibility
- Ability to work closely and support the rest of the team
- Keen eye for detail and quality with a passion for design and branding
- Able to receive feedback constructively and demonstrate resilience
