Role summary
We are looking for a Desk Assistant to join our London team. You will support our experienced Brokers and carry out various tasks as outlined in the description below.
This role would suit a school leaver with an interest in shipbroking, and someone who is hard working and self-motivated with a flexible and proactive approach, and wants to work in a fast paced, dynamic broking environment.
What you’ll be doing:
- Updating internal market pricing whiteboards.
- Updating in-house client pricing systems.
- Communicating market pricing between team members.
- Identifying interesting pricing / opportunities arising in markets.
- Providing supporting to broking team as and where required.
- Undertaking market research queries / projects.
- Creating daily market reports.
- General administrative duties.
- Scope to move into a junior broker role.
- Additional / ad hoc duties as required to meet the needs of the business.
