IT End User Engineer
Job Overview
- The IT End User Engineer will work across the End User, Unified Communication and Access Management domains and help provide support for operational work and projects.
- This role focuses on the End User Computing (EUC) portfolio within the Infrastructure and Core Systems area and, as such, the role holder will be conversant in a range of EUC technologies, including End User devices, Unified Communication technologies, collaboration and Access and Identity Management.
Who you will work with
The role will work within the EUC domain and initially work within the Access and Identity Management team, then moving onto the other disciplines and working in the End User Technology, which focuses on the End user device and infrastructure to support this, Unified Communications and Collaboration teams which covers everything from Email through to telephony and all in between providing support for operational teams as help driving new initiatives in collaboration with Business units.
What you will be responsible for
- Providing central support for core End User functions across the disciplines
- Input into strategic and tactical roadmaps for each discipline
- Providing support and input into new technologies
- Assisting the teams in delivering innovative solutions to everyday challenges
What you will do
- Understand the complex working of the various technical disciplines and how they impact and affect the business outcomes for the firm.
- Understand technically how each technology works and how it is managed and configured
- Gain understanding of how Identity and Access Management controls and manages a large enterprise and how technology can streamline process.
- Develop skills in common scripting technologies and how these streamline technology
- Provide day to day operational support for the various functions, from Access Management to Email configuration
- Provide administrative support to the teams in the form of reporting and compliance reporting
- Deliver high level technical support (under guidance) for the various teams
- Apply analytical and logical thinking to complex work streams to reduce time and effort through the application of technical solutions.
- Provide hands on support for large projects and initiatives to ensure their success
- Participate in the strategy workshops in defining the future technology estate
- Provide support to SMEs in the delivery of Business cases and roadmaps
- Keep in touch with the reality of the day-to-day work, listening to the feedback and issues raised by the domain teams to consider and reflect in the roadmaps.

IT Infrastructure and Network Engineer
Job Overview
- The Infrastructure and Network Engineer will work across multiple Infrastructure Engineering disciplines in order to provide operational support and development of infrastructure services across IT
- The candidate will show a clear passion and affinity towards the various infrastructure technologies that are used to support and drive an organisation, including networks, network security, systems engineering, cloud and storage.
Who you will work with
The role will work within the Infrastructure Engineering teams, specifically the Network Engineering and Security, the Systems Engineering and the Storage, UNIX and Backup teams, providing 3rd\4th line support for operational issues along with actively contributing to developing the technologies in these areas through projects and design improvements

What you will do
- Providing 3rd and 4th line support of all technologies across Network Engineering, Network Security, Systems Engineering and Storage teams, including In-depth diagnosis, troubleshooting, test, resolution of problems and issues.
- Network Management – usage of tools to aid in support, monitoring and management of the network including SolarWinds, EOTS, Net Flow, Packet Capture (e.g. Wireshark), Riverbed Steelheads.
- Define and enforce standards across all technologies, ensuring these are always implemented and adhered to within the global infrastructure.
- Delivering projects that are business and operations driven
- Providing design, management and technical engineering support within the Microsoft Azure platform (including IaaS & PasS offerings).
- Working with the relevant Architects to develop the strategic roadmaps
- Recommend new technologies to improve performance, reliability and scalability.
- Work closely with other engineering teams to plan and complete assigned tasks with deadlines
- Ensure that the relevant infrastructure is fully documented as required
- Provide technical expertise across the organisation relating to all relevant technologies, including support to Operations teams in the on-going maintenance and surveillance of related technologies and applications.
- Capacity planning across all areas of Infrastructure Engineering
- Identify and correct non-compliance issues.
- Support with managing the Technology Lifecycle Management for all Infrastructure technologies, reviewing on a bi-annual basis to ensure it remains up to date.
