Our Integrated Transport Systems (ITS) business unit are responsible for innovative highways infrastructure contributing towards safer journeys for uses on UK roads and motorways. Our award-winning team offers cutting edge technologies such as ground-breaking Traffic Signals, Street Lighting and Variable Message Signage.
Due to growth in the department, we are recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to ensure all the commercial matters of a project including procurement, risk, cost and value reporting, forecasting and contractual matters are managed effectively in line with Colas’ governance, policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
The successful Graduate Quantity Surveyor will initially support the Lincolnshire Council contract and be flexible to support other schemes when required, in addition to, managing the procurement of sub-contract packages and maintain the projects forecast.
The role will be the first point of contact for commercial matters on the project and you will be involved in the preparation and submission of final accounts; ensuring timeous receipt of monies by efficient invoicing and collection of all debts.
The ideal candidate
- The perfect candidate will hold a Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management degree.
- You will be driven, ambitious and have a superb work ethic.
- You’ll be an excellent communicator, client focused with good commercial awareness and commitment to business success.
- You will have good time management/attitude to change, ability to plan and prioritise your own workload working under pressure to meet deadlines.
