Purpose of the role
Colas is excited to announce the launch of our graduate programme for 2024 and have a fantastic opportunity for commercial candidates who are looking for a career in Civil Engineering, Highways and Infrastructure.
The Colas Graduate Programme is a structured development programme that spans over 2 to 3 years. It is specifically designed to help graduates make a successful transition into the start of their professional career, by equipping them with the necessary skills, knowledge, and behaviours.
Our programme provides a diverse range of opportunities for development and to gain experiences that will enable graduates to gain the attributes required for professional accreditation in their chosen fields.
Main Responsibilities
The Commercial role provides an excellent opportunity for a Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying graduate to gain broad commercial experience in a pre-construction and operational environment. The role will include time within both the estimating team and the site commercial management team to give practical insight into the commercial discipline in a major infrastructure organisation.
Ideal Candidate
Our graduate programme is open to graduates from all disciplines who have a passion for the Highways & Civil Engineering sector. We are looking for candidates who are innovative, creative, and have a strong work ethic. You should also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work in a team. A driving license is essential.

- A salary between £25,000 and £27,000 (dependent on experience)
