Colas’s Finance team, largely based at head office in Birmingham Business Park, Solihull, are recruiting for a Treasury Analyst to sit within our Treasury function. It’s an exciting time to be part of the Treasury team with the recent arrival of our new Treasury Manager who has ambitions of growing the department from the ground up. This will be a front office analytical role with occasional back-office support to cover colleagues when necessary.
Main Responsibility
This role supports the Treasury Manager with maintaining the cash position of the business – you’ll get involved with data manipulation for cash flow forecasting, executing treasury/structured transactions and have the opportunity to work directly with our banking partners. This will be a varied role where you’ll get wide exposure to the treasury function and work closely with the central finance team.
The Ideal Candidate
For this role we’re ideally looking for someone with previous basic experience within Treasury, however, we’re open to considering a graduate fresh out of university looking for their first role within a finance function. The successful candidate will have a degree in either Finance, Economics, Maths, Accounting, or similar relevant discipline, or, be qualified by experience. You’ll ideally need good Excel skills to do pivot tables and V-look ups in addition to some data manipulation. This role would suit an ambitious individual keen to pursue a career within treasury and eager to learn/develop their skill-set within finance.
