Support the Leveraged Markets team (which is Commerzbank’s leveraged finance capital markets team) based in London and be responsible for structuring, underwriting, and distributing institutional term loans and high yield bonds for both leveraged buyouts and corporates.
Key activities
- Prepare internal & external marketing materials including newsletter, pricing updates & pitches
- Collect leverage, pricing, trading comparable and key documentation terms
- Review of the underwriting asks including preparation of internal votums
- Undertake information gathering, research and analysis of data to support transactions and projects
- Develop credit analysis skills through on-the-job training and, where appropriate, formal training
- Support the high yield bond origination including execution
- Support across all syndication tasks during execution
- Support more senior staff in managing projects and transactions
- Inform team members about market/prices movements, documentation trends and precedents
- Develop external contacts with all market participants

Your profile
- Graduated in the last 12 months in a relevant degree subject (e.g., economics, engineering, mathematics, etc.)
- Expected to or have achieved a minimum 2.1 UK bachelors degree (or equivalent)
- Minimum 120 UCAS points (or equivalent)
- Previous experience/internship in corporate finance, credit analysis, financial modelling and/or knowledge of sub-investment grade debt products
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially excel and word)
- Good Bloomberg skills
- Strong interpersonal skills, analytical and technical background
- Team player
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Fluent English
- Languages: German not required but a positive
