    The Role

    Conde Nast is a truly global company, with over 25 titles in 32 markets, and our content -- and the audiences it brings in -- forms the beating heart of this presence. As a member of our central content analytics team, you will be tasked with understanding what content resonates with our audiences, and where, and on which channels, and with determining which aspects of this understanding are transferable across titles.

    This is a global role, covering digital performance in all markets. In addition to providing recurring reporting for global leadership, this role will also have opportunities to conduct ad-hoc exploratory analyses that provide deeper understanding of our content, platforms and audiences.

    The ideal candidate will have both a strong quantitative skillset and understanding of digital media. The candidate should also be comfortable working collaboratively across different departments and in a fast-paced environment.

    What will you be doing

    • Leverage global digital data across owned and distributed channels to create and enhance recurring monthly and quarterly reporting on traffic and KPIs for leadership, editorial, entertainment, and product departments
    • Own one or more recurring channel analyses and grow to be SME on this channel’s data and performance drivers
    • Conduct content analyses to guide cross- and multi-brand and market content strategy
    • Field ad hoc data requests and develop corresponding analyses
    • Collect and format data for analyses related to user behavior and audience segmentation across platforms, including social, audio, and video
    • Work with counterparts in the data org to ensure global data is accurate and available at required granularity

    Who you are

    • Languages:

      • SQL (essential for this role)

      • Python or R a plus

    • Technologies:

      • Familiarity with querying databases and working with large datasets is critical

      • Facility working with APIs, web scraping, and other programmatic methods of accessing data a plus

      • Basic understanding of data visualization and principles

    • Analytics:

      • Web

      • Social

      • Youtube and Audio (podcasts and narrated) a plus

      • Audience (ie Quantcast, MRI) a plus

    • Platforms:

      • Google Analytics (Parsely or other engagement-based platforms a plus)

      • Data querying tools Mode Analytics, Looker a plus

      • Data visualization libraries like ggplot/matplotlib/d3js a plus
