    Corin is seeking a Capacity Planner to develop and deliver the long-term (8 weeks to 72 weeks) strategic production plan for the business based on the latest demand highlighting any capacity constraints.

    Job Summary

    This role reports into the Global Demand Planning Manager and will be part of the Global Sales Inventory and Planning team (SIOP) that sits within Global Operations. The role is a hybrid working role, which means you need to be onsite 2-3 days a week at the Cirencester, Gloucestershire head office location

    The ideal person for the Capacity Planner role will either be a Supply Chain and Logistics Graduate or be an established Scheduler or Manufacturing Planner who wants to progress into a Capacity Planner role. Whichever one you are, you need to be accountable, organised, enthusiastic, data driven with a strong commercial acumen

    Key Responsibilities

    • Create a long-term production capacity plan in both volume and value to meet the requirements of the global sales forecast
    • Create and manage demand scenarios in the long-term production plan
    • Highlight capacity constraints from the long-term production plan
    • Work with key stakeholders to resolve the capacity constraints
    • Support capex requirements resulting from the long-term plan i.e. make vs buy decisions
    • Establish and incorporate New Production Introduction (NPI) activity into the long-term production plan
    • Establish and incorporate any activities that consume capacity into the long-term production plan
    • Work with Inventory Management to determine the impact on inventory
    • Work with Production Planners and manufacturing on a regular basis to ensure the long-term plan is populated into a weekly schedule and to ensure they are aligned with the longer-term strategy
    • Work with operations and schedulers to create accurate feedback on production performance and schedule adherence
    • Deliver a supply plan to the business that meets requirements of the forecast on a monthly basis integrated with the SIOP process
    • Own, develop, maintain the long-term production capacity plan in the monthly Supply Review as part of the SIOP monthly cycle
    • Maintain, challenge and update capacity with latest manufacturing OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) data
    • Work with Engineers / Maintenance planners to ensure capacity is reduced to accommodate preventative maintenance schedules
    • Support operations on ensuring the correct shift patterns are maintained and forecast to meet future demand

    Who we're looking for

    • Degree qualified or equivalent experience in supply chain and logistics
    • Some experience in a Manufacturing Planning Environment
    • Experience of Production Planning implementation/troubleshooting
    • Continuous improvement specifically around capacity and lead time
    • Effective communication skills
    • Worked extensively with ERP systems and other supply chain management applications
    • Strong analytical thinking, problem solving and decision-making skills.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills coupled with strong interpersonal skills with an ability to develop and maintain effective business relationships.
    • Excellent organisational, planning, influencing and negotiation skills.
    • The ability to work under pressure calmly and professionally.
    • Good attention to detail with high levels of accuracy.
    • Flexible in approach and dealing with conflicting priorities
