We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Network Engineer to join our team. As a Junior Network Engineer, you will assist in designing, implementing, and maintaining our organization’s network infrastructure. You’ll work closely with senior engineers to troubleshoot issues, optimize network performance, and ensure seamless connectivity.

The role

Responsibilities

  • Network Configuration: Assist in configuring routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices.
  • Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
  • Security: Implement and maintain network security protocols, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and procedures.
  • Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to support network-related projects.
  • Support: Provide technical support to end-users and resolve network-related incidents.
  • Upgrades and Patches: Assist in network hardware and software upgrades and apply patches as needed.
  • Capacity Planning: Participate in capacity planning and scalability assessments.

Qualifications

  • · Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • · Certifications: CCNA or equivalent certification preferred.

· Skills

  • Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, etc.).
  • Familiarity with Cisco or other network equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Experience: Entry-level experience in network administration or related roles.
  • Travel Required
