The role of the Project Manager is dynamic and stimulating. As a Graduate PM, you will assist other members of the PM team in the project management of projects, including bids and business development tasks, ensuring they achieve the successful delivery of the solution, to time, and on budget.
The PM is a key interface between the client, design team, consultants, contractors, and other project stakeholders. The PM helps to ensure actions are carried out by the appropriate parties at the right times to ensure deadlines are met and that value is added to the client's projects.
Whilst the specific placement will vary depending on Client demand, the PM Graduate will normally operate in either junior Project management, Project Control or business development roles, under the supervision of more experienced Costain PM consultants, and is likely to be working in planning, scheduling, cost control and forecasting.
To be effective in the role of a Graduate PM you must have effective communication skills, be good at building relationships and rapport with the various parties involved in a project, be good at planning and managing your time, be highly motivated, and be committed to delivering excellent service to our clients.
