About the Role
This position is ideal for Design students or recent graduates who are looking to gain an insight into life in an agency or commercial environment. The internship will provide a valuable opportunity to get hands-on design experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
As a Digital Design Intern at Costello Medical you will be support with a wide range of digital projects, from the initial concept development to full production, allowing for real autonomy and creativity. You work closely with internal colleagues and clients to understand the project brief, providing technical insight and guidance where required, and will produce materials to high standards of clarity and presentation.
Examples include the design, maintenance and testing of new and existing website and mobile applications, the creation of interactive content for conferences and events, the production of animation/video, and the creation of digital marketing material. About You
This internship is suited to recent graduates as well as current students who are permitted to complete full time internships either during the holidays or via a placement as a part of their degree.
Qualities and experience required include
- A degree level or higher qualification in a design-related discipline (minimum 2.1 or expected 2.1), in addition to a highly innovative portfolio. We welcome applications from candidates with a diverse range of specialisms
- Experience with UI/UX design for a wide range of digital channels
- Technical knowledge of email/web/application development
- Working knowledge of Figma, Sketch, Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop. Familiarity with other software in the Adobe Creative Suite is advantageous
- Exceptional organisational and time management skills, an excellent level of productivity and the flexibility to respond to changing deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build robust and sustainable working relationships
Practical experience with HTML and CSS, as well as familiarity with basic JavaScript, is desirable but not essential for this role.
No prior working experience is required for this role and we welcome applications from those looking to start their career in this field. Additionally, no previous experience in the scientific industry is required. However, we are looking for individuals with a genuine interest in healthcare and an eagerness to learn about new areas of science. An interest in applying UI/UX and digital design to the healthcare industry would be an advantage.
