What you will do
This is an ideal opportunity for an undergraduate, recent graduate, apprentice or similar to join the Insights team in our UK&I business. This role will be a critical support in driving our consumer, shopper and data driven agenda in the UK&I across Cosmetics, Fragrance & Skin Categories, supporting leading brands in the industry.
Sitting in the Consumer Insights team, this opportunity will offer a candidate important foundational Insights experience, and a great deal of exposure to different levels of stakeholders (up to VP of Marketing). In this role and supported by Senior Leads, you will interface with a variety of internal and external business partners on both re-occurring and ad-hoc business questions. A key part of the role will be focused on data management, reporting and enabling the organization through data-led recommendation; however, you will also act as a key support for the Insights team across bigger Insights projects.
Key tasks include
- Active contributor to our data democracy ethos:
- Provide support to ensure data quality and accuracy across multiple data sets including tasks such as new line coding and classifications
- Day to day support of agency management – including answering queries, training and reporting for action:
- Deliver monthly and quarterly reporting trackers for brand performance across a variety of data sources
- Support in the delivery of key brand & competitor analysis by consolidating key sources of information (such as market data and shopper data).
- Work on analysis and learnings for blockbuster and competitor new launches across all categories
- Support business priorities
- Contribute to the preparation for brand priority sessions with data providers to ensure they are aligned to Coty business priorities
- Assist on monthly omnibus surveys to ensure enhanced consumer understanding to answer key business questions
- Become a valued member of the Insights team:
- Build strong working partnerships with the rest of the Insights team as well as key stakeholders across the organisation, demonstrating an understanding of priorities and identifying opportunities and challenges
- Supporting the team with ad hoc requests
What you will bring
- Bachelor's degree part/full completed, or evidence of work experience / apprenticeship
- Good analytical skills with strong working knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- An interest in working with multiple sets of data
- High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively to deadline
- Keenly following the latest trends in the UK&I across Beauty, Food, Fashion, all things affecting consumers’ lives
- Sense of initiative, creativity and problem solving; and an ability to work independently on projects
- Experience of working effectively in a team
- Resilient and flexible, adapts to new challenge
- Any previous knowledge of market or shopper data/systems (Nielsen/IRI/Kantar/NPD or similar) a plus but not essential as full training will be provided
