    What you will do

    Coty’s CEO has put sustainability in the center of the company strategy as one of the six strategic pillars, with the ambition to become an industry leader in sustainability. As part of our global Corporate Affairs team, this role will help drive Coty’s sustainability agenda and strengthen our reputation as a responsible business. The role has global scope, collaborating with a team based around the world.

    This is an ideal opportunity for a 12-month placement starting from July 2024 to join the Corporate Affairs team. You will support the delivery of our sustainability strategy through internal and external campaigns, content creation, education initiatives, and engaging our stakeholders.

    Your core focus will be communications, but there will be many opportunities to support on strategic projects, as a partner to the cross-functional sustainability team that delivers Coty’s Beauty That Lasts sustainability framework and its three pillars – Beauty of our Product, our Planet, and our People.

    • Support development of Coty sustainability communications strategy
    • Deliver internal and external sustainability campaigns, including education, and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion initiatives e.g. International Women’s Day, Pride and more
    • Work with HR and wider sustainability organization to strengthen Coty’s internal sustainability education program
    • Identify external initiatives for Coty to participate in to drive sustainable action and engage with stakeholders
    • Develop and manage Coty’s global sustainability communications content calendar and ensure synchronization with wider Corporate Affairs calendar
    • Support wider sustainability team in the development and communication of Coty’s annual sustainability report
    • Copywriting and content creation including social media posts, press releases, presentations, videos
    • Research and benchmarking to help us improve and identify future opportunities
    • Update and collect sustainability success stories
    • Manage Coty‘s ESG/sustainability messaging book and draft corporate statements, including on topics such as ingredients, regulation, and issues preparedness
    • Support evolution of Coty’s responsible marketing playbook
    • Ad hoc support across a range of internal initiatives where sustainability expertise is required

    What you will bring

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree - sustainability-related discipline (environmental, social, or business-related) preferred but not essential
    • Sustainability experience gained either through degree, work experience or extra-curricular
    • Previous work experience within a business – multi-national preferred but not essential
    • Experience in design, PowerPoint and Canva tool a bonus
    • Solid understanding of (and passion for!) sustainability, and literate in the key concepts – reporting, DE&I, responsible sourcing
    • Creative and strategic thinker, full of fresh ideas
    • Excellent copywriter
    • Fluent in English language, including writing
    • Attention to detail
    • An eye for what looks good visually
    • A natural communicator
    • Second language at a business level is a plus (French, German, Dutch, Spanish)
