    New for 2024 we’re excited to offer the opportunity for graduates going into their final year to join us on our Summer Internship programme!! Running from the beginning of June to the end of August each opportunity will allow individuals to get stuck into some great projects, gain valuable on the job experience all while working with friendly experts happy to share their knowledge!

    The role

    As part of continual improvement, our Cyber function keen to onboard an intern to help in specific areas within Security Operations (and provide development and learning opportunities back!)

    During the internship they’ll be lots of opportunities to help support cyber incidents, responding to DLP alerts and proposing enhancements. They’ll also be a mini project to digest recent threat reports (such as the Conti ransomware playbook) to understand our control effectiveness, helping us better understand and manage emerging cyber threats and risks.

    You’ll get lots support from colleagues in the Security Operations team, including working directly with colleagues, shadowing, attending team sessions etc. Being part of the team and CIDO, you’ll get plugged into daily stand-ups and wider Cyber village hall meetings. Some career coaching from the Head of Cyber Security will also available.

    About you

    For this internship you must be due to go into your final year of studies in September 2024, and will ideally have a IT or Computing degree (ideally with Cyber modules) and/or relevant work experience.

    You'll be passionate about developing and have a positive attitude towards gaining new knowledge, skills and behaviours. You'll need to be open and proactive in learning as well as engaging in activities that require you to work as part of a team and independently.

    Experience of projects and an ability to communicate with a diverse range of stakeholders, manage multiple competing priorities, analyse data and use it to inform decisions will be important. You’ll be self-aware, with the confidence to work independently and the passion to continuously improve.
