    Based on an agreement between its Global Investment Banking and Structured Finance departments, CA-CIB has established a team dedicated to M&A in the Infrastructure and Power sectors. The team reports to the Deputy Global Head of M&A (GIB) based in Paris with coordination and report locally into the Global Head of Infrastructure (SFI) based in London. This team is called M&A London – Power & Infrastructure

    The M&A London P&I team is responsible with leading the origination and execution of M&A mandates in the infrastructure and power sectors in EMEA

    Principal accountabilities

    Working as part of CA-CIB’s Global Investment Banking division, the intern should contribute to the origination and execution of M&A transactions within the Power & Infrastructure sectors, including

    • Assistance in preparation of marketing pitches in full co-ordination with the rest of the P&I team, Sector Coverage, SFI product teams and GIB;
    • Assistance in the execution of mandates (buy side or sell side): process organisation, assistance in financial analysis and presentation materials, creation of transaction support documents;
      • Review in-house training materials to get up to speed on valuations and other M&A skills;
      • Seek and receive guidance from other P&I bankers on technical aspects;
      • Attend team meetings and participate in the day-to-day life of the department.

    Legal and Regulatory responsibilities

    • Comply with all applicable legal, regulatory and internal Compliance requirements, including, but not limited to, the London Compliance manual and the Financial Crime Policy. Complete any mandatory training in line with legal, regulatory and internal Compliance requirements;
    • Maintain appropriate knowledge to ensure to be fully qualified to undertake the role. Complete all mandatory training as required to attain and maintain competence;
    • Refrain from taking any steps which could lead to the removal of certification of fitness and propriety to perform the role;
    • Comply with all applicable conduct rules as prescribed by the relevant regulator.

    Special role requirements
