The CrowdStrike Services Internship Program is a 12-week full-time summer internship that provides individuals with experience across all major aspects of the CrowdStrike Services business, with a focus on red teaming.
What you'll do
- Executive Speaker Series & Tech Talks
- A rigorous, world-leading red team operator course built especially for our CrowdStrike red team interns delivered by subject matter experts right across the division, covering many aspects of red teaming at CrowdStrike, including:
- Engagement Shadowing: Exposure to all types of red team engagements via shadowing active operations, view TTPs used by the red team, interact with the engagement’s project manager and consultants throughout each engagement, and learn the basics of Consulting and project management skills
- Simulated Red Team Engagement: Manage a mock red team engagement, conduct testing against a lab environment to identify multiple security vulnerabilities and misconfigurations, and present findings to red team mentors in simulated client interactions.
- Project Development: Work with the red team’s development team to identify a project to complete during your internship, identified project will support the red team in the form of tooling or process improvement, dedicated time will be allocated for creation, testing, and demonstrating the projects capabilities or improvements.
- Fun socials and give-back events (e.g. virtual trivia, escape rooms, etc.)
- Development workshops to grow your soft and hard skills
- Networking opportunities with fellow interns and CrowdStrikers
- Owning impactful individual projects that move the company forward

What you’ll need
- Be working towards a BA or BS / MA or MS degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science/Engineering, Maths, Information Security, Information Systems, Information Assurance, Information Security Management, Intelligence Studies, Data Science or other related field.
- Be scheduled to graduate after April 2025. Candidates who graduate after December 2024 may also be considered.
- Be willing and able to work remotely and independently during Summer 2024. The UK team works on a fully remote work model so you should be prepared to work from your home office 5 days per week. Opportunities to meet with other CrowdStrike team members in local offices or WeWork locations may be available based on location.

- Experience with capture the flag events and cyber security competitions (Hack the Box, Try Hack Me, CTFs, etc.)
- Familiarity with Windows / Linux / UNIX / Mac operating systems
- Experience in scripting and programming
- Familiarity with networking / OSI model
- Understanding of security methodologies, technologies, and best practices
