    The role

    We are recruiting NQSWs to join our vibrant social work teams across Children’s Services, with the ASYE cohort to begin in October 2023. Social Workers who are already qualified may be able to begin at an earlier date (service dependant).

Croydon Council Early Help and Children’s Services have been rated as good by Ofsted and we are looking for talented NQSWs to be part of our journey in making a difference to the lives of children, young people and families.

    All NQSWs will have the opportunity to develop their knowledge and skills through our highly supportive and reflective Assessed & Supported Year in Employment Programme (ASYE). Our ASYE Offer in Croydon is a comprehensive programme which offers dedicated ASYE Assessors who provide 1.1 reflective supervision, monthly learning sets and ASYE reflective group supervision.

    The ASYE programme offers guided support with completing the ASYE portfolio in order to meet the requirements for Skills for Care. In addition NQSWs can expect a monthly dedicated study day to focus on their portfolio completion, protected caseloads and support from a vibrant ASYE team that sits within the Croydon Early Help and Children Social Care Academy for support.

    Qualifications

    You should have a degree/qualification in Social Work and be Social Work England registered in order to apply or be qualified and registered by the cohort start date which will be October 2023.
